A delegation led by Former CEC, Gyal P Wangyal met Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson with some issues and grievances of the villagers of the Kharu sub-division on December 11.

CEC, Hill Council, Leh, Tashi Gyalson convened a meeting with the concerns to discuss and resolve the grievances with the concerned district and sub-divisional officers/officials of Leh/Kharu respectively.

The village representatives raised their grievances including the construction of link roads with blacktopping, the requirement of medical sub-centers, drinking water facilities during winters, renovations of community halls, establishing mobile towers, developing command area lands, agriculture, and horticulture, issues regarding irrigation and flood control, etc.

CEC Gyalson directed concerned district officers and sub-divisional officials to revisit and address the grievances raised by the villagers.

The meeting was attended by Executive Councillor for Agriculture, Stanzin Chosphel, former CEC, Gyal Wangyal, ACD Leh, SDM Kharu, HODs/officials of various departments of Leh district as well as Kharu sub-division and village representatives from the villages.
