CBSE schools carry out 'Swachh Leh' campaign

 A cleanliness drive “Swachh Leh campaign” was carried by all the CBSE affiliated schools of Leh (Sahodaya complex) on May 10 in Leh.  The campaign started from Lamdon Model Sr. Secondary School and dispersed at Nawang Dorjay Memorial Stadium.

Students and staff from all the school participated and cleaned Old Leh Town, Polo Ground, SNM Hospital and all the adjoining area in different groups. 
 
Principal, Lamdon Model School, Eshey Tundup said, “We have taken this initiative with an aim to make people aware of the importance of cleanliness. I hope this campaign carried by the students of 10 CBSE affiliated schools will encourage all the local people in keeping Ladakh clean.”

Other than cleaning, student enthusiastically participated in the street play to aware people at large about the importance of clean environment.
