Boys Higher Secondary School, Leh, win final handball match

Inter-school tournament between the higher secondary school of Leh block was concluded on May 7 at Boys Higher secondary School, Leh. In the final handball match Boys, Higher secondary school Leh won the final match beating Lamdon Model Senior Secondary School, Leh by 1 goal. 
The tournament was organised by the Department of youth services and sports, Leh. A total of 16 Hr. Secondary Schools of Leh district participated in the tournament.

The chief guest of the occasion, Rakesh Badiyal, ADC, Leh said that sport is such an activity for the student which is good for health as well as it is important for overall development in the career. He also congratulated Abdul Rashid officer District Youth Services and Sports Leh for his retirement on 30 June.
 
The Department of Youth services and sport had sent team single and double for table tennis boys to Srinagar, to represent Leh at the state level, inter-district tournament. In single they have got the runner up and in double both U-17 and U-19 boys were the winners. The overall championship title of the tournament was given to Leh team. 
 
Recently they have also sent U-17 girls Volleyball team to Srinagar and they have got the third place in the tournament.

Tashi Ladol from Hr. secondary school Khaltse participated in 64th national school game 2015 athletic girls U-17 which was held in Kerala.
 
Folk dance by the students added more colour to the day. 

In the end, certificates and medals were distributed.

Kunzes Dolma, District Education Planning officer, Deldan Angmo, Principal Boys Higher Sec. School Leh, Sonam Dorjay, Headquarter Assistant, Education Department, teachers of different school and students were present.
