Awareness workshop on Ladakh Sustainable Industrial Policy and Transport Subsidy Scheme held at DIC Leh
An Awareness Workshop on the Ladakh Sustainable Industrial Policy and Transport Subsidy on Finished Goods under the RAMP Scheme was organized by the District Industries Centre (DIC), Leh at the DIC Conference Hall, Leh, on 11 August for MSMEs of Leh district.
The workshop was attended by the President, Chamber of Industries Leh; President, Industrial Estate Phyang; unit holders from Industrial Estate Leh and Phyang; representatives of the Wood Based Units Association; MSMEs; and Self Help Groups.
A detailed presentation on the key benefits, eligibility requirements and application procedures under the Ladakh Sustainable Industrial Policy and the Transport Subsidy Scheme was delivered by Mohd. Zakiria, Functional Manager, DIC Leh. The participants were briefed on the incentives available under the schemes and the procedures for availing the same.
This was followed by an interactive session led by Jigmet Raftan, JKAS, General Manager, DIC Leh, who emphasized the importance of MSMEs making effective use of the available government incentives. He highlighted that availing these benefits can facilitate business expansion, enhance market access, improve competitiveness and contribute to employment generation in the region.
The workshop concluded with an open Question-and-Answer session, during which participants raised queries regarding eligibility, documentation, application procedures and other aspects of the schemes. The officials of DIC Leh provided detailed clarifications and explained the process for filing applications and accessing the available benefits.
The workshop served as an important platform for creating awareness among MSMEs and strengthening industry–government engagement, with the objective of ensuring wider participation and effective utilization of the incentives available under the Ladakh Sustainable Industrial Policy and the RAMP-supported Transport Subsidy Scheme.
