To mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse, the Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Khaltse, organised an awareness rally on June 26. The rally began at the Munsiff Court Office, passed through the Khaltse Market, and concluded at the Khaltse Bus Stand.

The initiative aimed to raise public awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a drug-free society.

Addressing the participants, Munsiff Judge, Khaltse, Syed Tayoub Bukhari, highlighted the significance of observing this international day and emphasized the serious health risks associated with drug use. He urged youth to avoid such substances and contribute to building a healthy society.

Lecturer Tashi Sangdup also addressed the gathering, focusing on the detrimental health impacts of drug abuse and underlining the importance of early awareness and prevention.

The rally saw active participation from Munsiff Judge Syed Tayoub Bukhari; Station House Officer, Khaltse, Jamyang Namgail; Sub-Inspector Sonam Angdus; Lecturer Tashi Sangdup; staff and students of Government Higher Secondary School, Khaltse; and the staff of Munsiff Court Office, Khaltse.

Police personnel were deployed to ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the rally.
