An awareness programme on the ill effects of drug abuse was organised on June 24 at the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) Hostel, Nyoma, with active participation from hostel students.

The programme was attended by members of the Block Level Drug Abuse Committee, the Hostel Warden, and all resident students. During the interactive session, resource persons sensitised students about the harmful consequences of substance abuse and its impact on physical and mental health, education, and overall well-being.

The speakers encouraged students to adopt a healthy and disciplined lifestyle, make informed choices, and contribute towards creating a drug-free society. They also highlighted the importance of awareness, peer support, and community participation in preventing drug abuse among youth.
