Army pays tribute to 4 soldiers and 2 porters killed in avalanche at Siachen glacier

Rich tributes were paid with full military honour/SOP to four soldiers of Indian Army and two local porters by the Army at Siachen Army Hospital in Hundar, Nubra on November 20, who lost their lives in an avalanche hit at Siachen glacier on 18 November. 

Later, with full respect and honour the bodies of the two local porters were taken to their respective village in Largyab and handed over to their families with heartfelt condolence by Indian Army. The mortal remains of the four soldiers were sent to Chandigarh with full military honour and SOP and from there it will be further sent to their respective homes.  
 
Tsering Sandup, Deputy CEC, Hill Council, Leh; Tsering Angchuk, Councilor Diskit; Kunzang Lotos, Councilor Hundar and Sonam Nurboo, SDM, Nubra; Sonam Norbo, SHO Nubra and army officers led by Deputy Commandant, Col Deepak paid homage to the departed souls.
