Celebrating International Yoga Day, Fire and Fury Corps organised a yoga event on the banks of Pangong Tso on June 21. Around 550 participants joined the event.

The attendance for the event included around 550 participants.

To spread the message of the importance of Yoga to young minds, the army also conducted lectures on Yoga and distributed booklets and pamphlets to the students of High Schools and Government Primary Schools in the border village of Phobrang.

Indian Army has incorporated Yoga into the daily routine of its soldiers in high-altitude areas which experience extreme climatic conditions. A positive, well-relaxed, and de-stressed body and mind is the most significant benefit of Yoga which in turn assists the soldiers to operate successfully in such a challenging environment.
