Army and civilians jointly organise plantation drive in Hunder, Nubra

To expand the forest cover and to add greenery, a plantation drive was carried out on 3rd April at Hunder, Nubra.

The drive was ventured by 1st Battalion of the Ladakh Scouts Regiment under the aegis of HQ 81 Mountain Brigade and the local residents of the Hunder.

In order to strengthen the relationship between army and locals and to contribute towards the holistic development of the region, such initiatives are made by the Indian Army at regular intervals.

The event was attended by Gurmat Namgail, SDM Diskit, Tashi Jorgais, Nb/Tehsildar, Diskit,  Rigzin Dawa, head of Hunder, and Tsering Wangdus, President of village.
