A meeting of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) of Primary Health Center Panikhar Kargil was held under the chairmanship of Tai Suru Aga Syed, Councilor on December 30 at Prantee, Panikhar, Kargil.

The meeting was attended by the Dr. Ibrahim Khan, Chief Medical Officer, Kargil besides other members of Rogi Kalyan Samiti.

During the meeting, the Councilor reviewed the functioning of the hospital besides taking stock of the infrastructural facilities available there. Various issues especially repair and renovation of existing old PHC complex, power and water supply, cleanliness, drainage and sanitation in the institution besides various other key issues were discussed in detail. 

Aga Abbass asked members to fix priorities for repair, renovation and other construction works at the PHC besides the executing agencies to give due attention to the quality of materials being used. He stressed upon regular follow up of the work done for further improving the basic Medicare available to the common masses. 

The Councilor stressed upon the concerned authorities to work with missionary zeal and put in sincere and dedicated efforts to provide better medicare facilities to the ailing people. He said that PHC Panikhar being the major healthcare institution in the area needs to be developed and upgraded with latest infrastructural facilities.

He assured the members that he will leave no stone unturned to fully equip the health institution with all modern facilities and upgraded infrastructure. 

During the panel, discussion members approved the works to be taken up as well as the purchase of requisite requirements for the health center under RKS scheme.

Meanwhile, the Councilor urged upon the Chief Medical Officer to ensure the provision of an adequate quantity of medicines and deployment of a sufficient manpower in the snowbound villages of Suru area so that the inhabitants do not face any inconvenience during the winter months.
