Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Leh, Mukul Beniwal, IAS, reviewed preparations for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations in the district on March 17.

During the meeting, the ADC directed the FCS & CA Department to ensure adequate availability of rations and other essential commodities. He also reviewed parking and security arrangements with the Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic), Leh, emphasizing the need for proper traffic regulation and efficient parking management.

The ADC further instructed the R&B Department to make necessary arrangements at the Polo Ground, including seating and other logistical requirements, ensuring that all facilities are in place well in advance of the festival.

He stressed the importance of maintaining sanitation and cleanliness at the venue and directed the concerned departments to complete all necessary works before March 19.

It was also informed that a public address (PA) system will be installed at the Polo Ground and Idgah by the Information Department to facilitate the smooth conduct of the celebrations.

The ADC held detailed discussions with all concerned departments to ensure that the celebrations are conducted in a smooth, safe, and hassle-free manner across the district.

The meeting was attended by the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Leh, DSP (Traffic) Leh, along with officers from various departments and representatives of religious organizations.
