ADC Leh, Sonam Chosjor chaired a meeting to discuss the Ayushman Bharat saturation in the Leh district at the VC room on October 23.

Chief Medical Officer, Leh, Dr. Diskit Dolma provided insights into the current status of Ayushman Bharat coverage. She emphasized that the target for completion stands at November 30, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.

State Program Manager, State Health Agency for UT Ladakh, Shabir Hussain shared that out of the target of 104,121 Golden cards, 59,023 have already been distributed. Moreover, the program has successfully covered 16,832 households out of the intended 25,909. The main challenge cited was the lack of Aadhar card linkage with phone numbers.

ADC Leh issued directives to address these concerns effectively. He urged all BMOs to collaborate with SDMs to create a calendar for camps promptly and submit it to the DC office at the earliest. He emphasized the need for maximum community participation and urged officers to expedite camp schedules for planning at the block and subdivision levels.

BMO Khaltse was directed to prioritize hard-to-reach areas, such as Photoksar and Singey Lalok, to ensure timely completion. Similar action was recommended for Nyoma and Tangste, with SDM Nyoma advised to coordinate with BMOs to reach areas with network issues.

In response to limited network connectivity in some regions, the demand for a Common Service Centre (CHC) vehicle was raised. ADC Leh also encouraged collaboration between the ICDS workers with ANMs to mobilize villagers effectively.

The meeting was attended by Programme Officer ICDS Leh, Chief Medical Officer, Leh, all SDMs of District Leh, all BMOs of District Leh, District Programme Officer, NHM Leh, and the District Coordinator of PMJAY Leh.
