Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho conducted the fourth quarterly inspection of the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) warehouse on December 29 to review the security arrangements and availability of election-related equipment.

During the inspection, the ADC thoroughly examined the warehouse and assessed fire safety measures, including fire extinguishers and fire balls, along with CCTV surveillance and other security-related installations.

The inspection was carried out in the presence of DSP (DAR) Tundup Dorjay, Executive Engineer, PDD, Feroz Ahmad, Executive Engineer, R&B-II, Er. Mansoor Hussain, representatives of concerned departments, and political representatives from the Indian National Congress (INC) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), ensuring transparency in the process.

After verifying compliance with all prescribed norms and expressing satisfaction with the security arrangements, the EVM warehouse was resealed as per established procedures.

The inspection formed part of the fourth quarterly review, aimed at ensuring strict adherence to election guidelines and safeguarding the integrity and security of election materials.
