A  team of doctors successfully removed 3.94 kg abdominal tumor from a 70-year-old high-risk patient having multiple comorbidities at SNM Hospital, Leh on March 6.

The team was headed by Dr Padma Deskit, Consultant Surgeon assisted by Consultant Gynaecologist, Dr Stanzin Dolkar; Senior Consultant, Anesthesia, Dr Morup, and Surgeon, Dr Gyalpo.  
The team of doctors said that it's rare and such a huge tumour has ever been removed at a District level hospital.
