8,531 people screened and vaccinated with Hepatitis B Vaccine

To make Kargil Free from Hepatitis B, Baqirya Health Care and Research Centre Kargil (Health Wing of IKMT) screened and vaccinated 8,531 people of Shargole Zone with the last phase of Ando and Ando Colony on October 29.

Ashok Grover, Chief Engineer NHPC Kargil was the chief guest on the final day and Sheikh Bashir Shakir Vice Chairman Religious Affairs IKMT and Prof. Nassir Shabani representative Aliman Charitable Trust Mumbai were guests of honour. Dr. Nassir of NHPC congratulated the team of Dr. Villayat Ali President BHC&RC for successful completion of screening cum vaccination programme in Shargole Zone.

Ashok Grover appreciated the efforts of the Health wing IKMT and the vision of Late Sheikh Mohammad Hussain Zakiri the founder of IKMT and told that his vision has led to the mission which helps in complete screening and vaccination of a section of the society.

Dr. Willayat Ali, President, BHC&RC briefed the mass about Hepatitis B and also elaborated the basic objectives of Baqirya and highlighted the main reason behind carrying out this level of mass vaccination against a deadly viral disease which is otherwise preventable.

Sheikh Bashir Shakir vice chairman IKMT highly appreciated the role of BHC&RC in the district for the betterment and promotion of health sector.
