70 farmers attend day-long training in Nyoma

A day-long farmer’s training about the growing few varieties of vegetable for the people of Nyoma was organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra Nyoma on February 12 at Nyoma village. 

As many as 70 farmers of Nyoma village attended the training programme and took valuable guidance and methods of growing vegetables in their village.

Dr. Maheshwar and Dr. Anwar, senior scientists of KVK during the training programme highlighted various methods and techniques of how to cultivate vegetable in the harsh climatic condition of Changthang and how the vegetable and fruits are important for human health. 
The experts of KVK also educated the farmers regarding storing of vegetables for winter months.

On the request Phuntsog Dorje, Nambardar Nyoma, KVK has assured to provide cattle feed, Oats, Potato seed and vegetable seeds for the farmers. 

KVK also assured to organise an exposure tour for 40-50 farmers of Nyoma during summer month so that they could learn various techniques and skill of cultivation of vegetables.
