6101 farmers of Leh to get 7th installment under PM-KISAN

Hill Council, Leh headed by CEC, Advocate Tashi Gyalson participated in Prime Minister Narendra Modi led nationwide Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) programme on December 25.
 
PM-KISAN beneficiaries (farmers) of Leh and officers of Agriculture Dept, Leh headed by Chief Agriculture Officer, Leh Tashi Tsetan also attended the live PM-KISAN programme.
 
Tashi Gyalson congratulating the farmers of Leh on the occasion thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of LAHDC, Leh for launching the PM-KISAN programme in 2019 benefiting thousands of poor farmers of Leh district. He said that such financial support helped farmers to purchase seeds, agriculture equipment, etc timely to fetch more benefit from their annual agriculture income. 
 
He further informed that about 6101 farmers of Leh district will also get 7th installment under PM-KISAN being transferred by PM Modi directly in the bank accounts of nine crores beneficiary farmer families amounting to ₹ 18 thousand crores.
 
Highlighting the beneficial schemes of GoI for farmers lead by PM Narendra Modi, CEC Gyalson appealed to the farmers of Leh to don’t come under misinformation being spread about the farm bills.
 
Agriculture Department, Leh was asked to ensure 100% coverage of deserving farmers under the PM-KISAN programme by mobilizing their field staff in every block of Leh district. Also, it was instructed to streamline all major schemes meant for farmers with hassle-free services to boost the agriculture sector which can provide sustainable income by generating more employment opportunities.  
 
PM-KISAN beneficiaries (farmers) present in the meeting informed CEC that they have already received an installment of ₹ 2000 up to the 6th installment. He thanked MP Modi for launching such financial assistance.
 
Chief Agriculture Officer, Leh Tashi Tsetan giving a brief progress status of PM-KISAN scheme in Leh district said that tentative target for digitization under PM-KISAN for Leh district is 6200 farmer families out of which 6101 data were verified by PM-KISN portal along with 5947 PFMS verification. He said that up to 31 January 2020 a total of 6045 data was received and uploaded on the portal.
 
So far 5146 farmer families of Leh district got 1st installment followed by 5799, 5761, 5753, 4891, and 4876 farmer families who got 2nd to 6th installments separately.
 
Good Governance Day or Sushasan Diwas was also observed on Former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna awardee Atal Bihari Vajpayee's birth anniversary. 
 
CEC Gyalson paid homage to the former Prime Minister and said that under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee country saw ‘good governance’ and the present Modi govt is walking on the path of good governance shown by Vajpayee.
