3rd edition of Initiative for Holistic Development of Rong concludes

The 3rd edition of the Initiative for Holistic Development of Rong concluded with great enthusiasm at Liktsey village on January 11.

Executive Councillor for RDD, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, graced the closing ceremony of the 10-day program, an initiative by H.E Khamtak Rinpoche Jigmet Nawang Namgyal, organised by the villagers of Liktsey, Tukla, Phulak.

The 10-day program, envisioned by H.E Khamtak Rinpoche over the past three years, focuses on strengthening intellectual development, spiritual well-being, and the preservation of local tradition and culture.

The closing ceremony was attended by GOC Uniform Force, Maj Gen. M Rajiv Menon; Councillor Kungyam, Thinles Norboo; Councillor Egoo, Sonam Thardos; Former BDC Rong, Jigmat Yontan, along with village heads and a large number of people from the villages of Rong valley and other parts of Leh, including Nubra, Sham, and Changthang region.

During his speech, EC Tashi Yakzee appreciated the initiative of H.E Khamtak Rinpoche, acknowledging his dedication and hard work in shaping the future of Ladakh's younger generation. He also informed the audience about various initiatives from the Hill Council for the welfare of the people and urged everyone to actively participate in the collective development of Ladakh. 

EC Yakzee further assured assistance from the Hill Council towards such initiatives.
