3-day training on implementation of National Quality Assurance Standards concludes

Three-day training programme on Implementation of National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS), organised by the National Health Mission, UT Ladakh in collaboration with National Health System Resource Centre (NHSRC) for NQAS, New Delhi concluded on November 2.

Dr J N Srivastava, Advisor, Quality and Patient Safety, NHSRC, Delhi; Dr Chinmayee Swain, Senior Consultant QPA, NHSRC, Delhi and Anand Yadav, NHSRC, Delhi were the resource persons for the technical support and training programme.

The experts briefed about various topics, such as the Key Concept of Quality and Introduction to NQAS; Measurement System under NQAS; Area of Concerns; Patient Satisfaction Survey (PSS) with exercises; Medical and Prescription Audit; Procedure and Documentation for Certification. Also, Eco-Friendly Kayakalp; Overview of LaQshya, SUMAN, MusQan schemes and Quality Improvement Cycle were discussed during the workshop.

The training programme was organised focusing on the Block Medical Officers, Medical Officers, Healthcare Providers and District Program Management Units of both the districts of UT Ladakh.

27 participants from both Leh and Kargil districts participated in the workshop. At the end of the session, a post-training evaluation test was held.
