25-day entrepreneurship programme, 7-day skill-testing certification under Skill India and Make in India programme concludes

25-day entrepreneurship programme and 7-day Skill testing certification under Skill India and Make in India Programme Leh concluded on April 19.

Food Craft Institute/ Institute of Hotel Management, Department of Tourism, UT Ladakh organised a Certificate Distribution Ceremony of Skill Testing Certificate under Skill India Mission under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse at Taski-Thang near Lamdon School.

Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Shrikant Suse congratulated the trainees on completion of the course. He spoke on the restructuring of fees regarding the hospitality course since hospitality and tourism are the main sources of income. Also, he spoke on the importance of placement.

Director Tourism, Ladakh Kunzes Angmo congratulated the students and the faculty members and spoke on the importance of practising the learnt skills and their role in enhancing their skills.

Additional Deputy Commissioner/ Principal of the Institute of Hotel Management, Sonam Chosjor congratulated the trainees and appreciated the efforts of faculty members. He stressed organising more awareness programmes regarding the Hotel management course, creativity in entrepreneurship and the importance of this kind of course in the hospitality sector. He informed the upcoming degree courses. He also spoke on the key role of ALHGHA in providing placement to the newly trained students in the Hospitality Sector of Ladakh.

President, ALHGHA, SkarmaTsering Delex congratulated the trainees and advised them to be employment providers rather than becoming employment seekers. He said that Tourism is the backbone of Ladakh's economy and skilled human resource plays an important role in the tourism sector.
