2 more positive cases cured in Ladakh; no active case left in Kargil

Two more positive cases reported to be cured in Ladakh; one each of Leh and Kargil districts. Out of the total 18 positive cases now the total active cases in Ladakh are 2, with zero active cases in Kargil. 

Rigzin Samphel, Commissioner/Secretary Health said, “A total of 83 numbers of COVID-19 results received from National Centre for Disease Control, New Delhi on April 22 and all the reports are negative for COVID-19 including 9 of Leh and 74 reports are of Kargil district”. 

"Till now there are 405 posts of Doctors in Health department after Ladakh has become a Union Territory, in which 225 posts are vacant. To engage 123 doctors as a contractual basis, permission has been granted by Govt. of India",he added.  
 
The second batch of Iran returnees saw 230 pilgrims who were evacuated from Rajasthan on April 22 after completing their quarantine period at different quarantine centres and landed at Kushok Bakula Rinpoche Airport (KBR) Leh through a special Indian Air force aircraft. 

"Out of the total 230 pilgrims, 20 are from Leh and 210 are from Kargil district. As per MHA policy, all these pilgrims were shifted to the institutional quarantine centres facilitated by respective District Administrations", said Samphel.
 
In purpose of practicing Agriculture due to continuation of nationwide lock-down, 

People of Zanskar also requested Administration for evacuation from different parts of Leh and Kargil district. Samphel said that policy is under process to carry all the people of Zanskar via bus-service to their destination in coming days.
 
 “COVID-19 cure rate of UT Ladakh is 88.8% and the condition of 2 positive COVID-19 patients of UT Ladakh is stable, reads the Media Bulletin of the Directorate of Health Services of UT Administration Ladakh informed that 

Around 111 COVID-19 test samples were taken from Saboo-Phoo containment zone, out of which 80 samples were of locals and 31 samples were of non-locals. 
 
Training for Dental Surgeon, Medical Officers and Lab. Technicians of various blocks for swab sample collection was conducted at training hall of CMO Kargil by maintaining social distance.
