The new Municipality complex was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Simrandeep Singh along with Dr. Sunil Gupta SSP Leh, in presence of Municipality Administrator Dr. Zahida Bano and all the District Officers on 3 November. 

The new office has been built at a cost of Rs.32 lakh executed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Leh Development Authority (LDA).

The construction of office building was started on 19th August this year and was completed within two months i.e on 10 October, 2014. It is a well furnished and solar powered building and all the officers congratulated Dr Zaida for her new office.
