Buddhist people celebrates ‘saka dawa’ festival in Leh

People of Ladakh celebrated Buddha Purnima, on 15th of the fourth month according to the Tibetan lunar calendar on May 29 in Leh.
The holy day was celebrated in Tseskarmo monastery, Temisgam. The Buddhist devotees visited the monasteries.
It is believed that Lord Buddha was born, attained enlightenment and achieved Nirvana on the same day.
