DC Nubra inspects 220 kV Diskit-Phyang transmission line project at T-Morh and Tsati
Deputy Commissioner Nubra, Mukul Beniwal, IAS on June 6 inspected the ongoing 220 kV Diskit-Phyang Transmission Line project being executed by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (REC-PDCL) at T-Morh and Tsati to review its progress and assess issues affecting the timely completion of works in the Tsati area.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned agencies to expedite the project and ensure its completion within the current working season. He emphasized the importance of finishing critical works before the onset of peak summer, when rising water levels could pose operational challenges and potentially submerge parts of the worksite.
Stressing the significance of the transmission project for strengthening power infrastructure in the region, Beniwal instructed all executing agencies to avoid unnecessary delays and adhere strictly to the prescribed project timeline.
The inspection was accompanied by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Nubra, Jigmet Rapten, JKAS; Superintending Engineer, Power Development Department (PDD), Leh; officials of REC-PDCL; representatives of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO); and other concerned officers associated with the project.
