Gyurmet for exploiting full potential of Ladakhi handicrafts

To exploit the fullest potential of Handicrafts and Handlooms, the Executive Councilor, Tourism and Handicrafts, Mr. Gyurmet Dorjey on Friday took a meeting with the officers of Handicrafts and Handlooms Departments and urged them to develop promotional projects. Gyurmet said that a good amount of money under 12th 5YP is likely get for Leh district for which we need to have practicable projects on local handicrafts and handlooms in view of its vast potential in the region. |

Geriatric Ward opens at SNM Hospital for elderly patients of Ladakh

The Deputy Commissioner, Leh Tsering Angchok today inaugurated a Geriatric Ward at SNM Hospital Leh. This ward has been opened with only objective to facilitate the elderly patients with special health care service under National Program for the Health Care of the Elderly (NPHCE). |

Tsetan Namgial seeks CM’s intervention for early airlifting of stranded Nubra passengers from Chandi

To ensure early return permit for as many as 400 stranded passengers (pilgrimage) of Nubra valley from Chandigarh to Nubra, the MLA, Nubra Mr. Tsetan Namgial today called on the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah at Jammu and sought his immediate intervention to airlift the stranded passengers. |
