‘Month of Compassion’: Animal Welfare Camp organized in Leh market

As part of the ongoiness and Adoption Camp at Main Market, Leh on July 9. The initiative aims to deliver vital veterinary services, raise public awareness on animal welfare, and encourage animal adoption, fostering a compassionate approach to animal care in the community.
Similar awareness and veterinary outreach camps were conducted in other villages under the same campaign. At Sakti village, the camp witnessed strong public participation, notably from women. Local farmers received valuable information on animal diseases, vaccination drives, artificial insemination, and various departmental welfare schemes.
Grievances raised by farmers were duly noted, and both on-site and door-to-door treatments were provided for livestock in need.
Extending the campaign’s reach further, staff from the Block Veterinary Office (BVO) Nubra also conducted various activities in Bogdang village, as part of the ‘Month of Compassion’ and ‘Dharti Aaba Abhiyan’ campaigns.
