JD Finance reviews welfare schemes, urges timely implementation for FY 2025–26

Joint Director/Chief Controller Finance (JD/CCF), LAHDC Kargil, Iftikhar Hussain, chaired a review meeting with officers from various departments to assess the implementation of public welfare schemes and subsidy-based units for the financial year 2025–26.
The meeting was attended by the Joint Director/Chief Planning Officer Kargil, District Panchayat Officer (DPO) Kargil, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Chief Education Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Project Director KREDA, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies, Assistant Directors of Tourism and Handicrafts, Superintendent Handloom, Accounts Officer (DC Office), and other concerned officials.
During the session, the JD/CCF conducted a department-wise review of the schemes and units approved under the subsidy component for the current financial year. He emphasized the need for expedited implementation to ensure timely delivery of benefits to the public.
Highlighting the importance of prompt action, the JD directed all departments to initiate the tendering process without delay and to complete procurement of necessary materials by the end of the month, so as to avoid bottlenecks in project execution.
The meeting underscored LAHDC Kargil’s commitment to timely, efficient, and people-centric governance, with a strong focus on socio-economic development through effective implementation of welfare initiatives.
