His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama lays foundation stone for new Chowkhang Vihara in Leh

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama laid the foundation stone for the new Chowkhang Vihara in Leh on August 3. The event, marked by deep spiritual significance, witnessed a large gathering of religious leaders, local dignitaries, and community members.
Upon his arrival at Chowkhang Vihara, His Holiness was warmly received by the President of the Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA), Chering Dorjay Lakruk, along with key members of the LBA, its youth wing, and local residents.
The foundation stone-laying ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests, including Chief Executive Councillor Adv. Tashi Gyalson, Executive Councillors of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh, and other prominent figures from across the region.
Following the ceremony, His Holiness visited the Dharma Centre at Choglamsar, where he delivered a special address and bestowed his blessings, sharing his message of compassion and spiritual wisdom with the gathering.
