Har Ghar Tiranga:Cyclists ride for unity and national pride in Kargil

As part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, the Tourism Department Kargil, in collaboration with Downhill Kargil, organized a vibrant Tiranga Cycle Rally on August 10.
The rally was flagged off from the Tourist Facilitation Center (TFC) Biamathang by Rakesh Kumar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC Kargil, in the presence of Muhammad Ali Tak, Assistant Director Tourism Kargil, and Imteyaz Ali, member of Downhill Kargil.
Around 30 cyclists from across the district took part, riding through Biamathang, Kargil Market, Bypass Shilikchey, and Kako Shilikchey before returning to the TFC.
Held as part of a nationwide initiative to foster patriotism and national pride, the rally brought together cyclists from diverse backgrounds, promoting unity, brotherhood, and community spirit. Participants enthusiastically raised slogans like "Bharat Mata Ki Jai", "Har Ghar Tiranga, Ghar Ghar Tiranga", and "Tiranga Hamari Shaan Hai, Bharat Ki Pehchan Hai".
During the ride, they engaged with locals, highlighting the significance of the National Flag and encouraging people to proudly hoist it at their homes from August 13 to 15.
The event reaffirmed Kargil’s collective resolve to uphold the values of independence, unity, and democracy, while honoring the sacrifices of countless freedom fighters. It also emphasized the Tiranga as a timeless symbol of India’s sovereignty and pride.
