DIET Leh successfully concludes 3-day summer workshop on capacity building Workshop focused on educational transformation, NEP 2020, and NCF

The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, in collaboration with CBSE, successfully conducted a three-day Capacity Building Workshop for teachers of Leh district, aimed at enhancing pedagogical skills and aligning teaching methods with NEP 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF). The workshop, held from August 4 to 6, focused on educational transformation and skill-building for 21st-century classrooms.
The valedictory session, held at DIET Leh, highlighted the need for interactive teaching approaches, effective lesson planning models, and the incorporation of modern teaching techniques to create inclusive and engaging learning environments.
The workshop featured prominent education experts including, Ramandeep Kaur, Joint Secretary, CBSE; Rajiv Sharma, Deputy Chairman, Centre of Excellence, Chandigarh; Arindham Roy Chaudhary, Principal, G.D. Goenka Public School; Arun John Masih, Principal, Baptist School, Chandigarh; Tsewang Dolma, Principal, Lamdon Model Senior Secondary School.
The experts led engaging sessions on innovative teaching strategies, inclusive classroom practices, differentiated instruction, and understanding the needs of diverse learners. Teachers actively participated in hands-on activities designed to enhance their classroom practices and were introduced to modern assessment methods, including rubric-based evaluations and paper design techniques tailored for varied learning needs.
A key theme throughout the workshop was the integration of NEP 2020 principles, emphasizing holistic development, equity in learning, and the creation of classrooms that nurture curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
The Chief Education Officer, Deldan Angmo, graced the valedictory function as the Chief Guest, while Ramandeep Kaur, Joint Secretary, CBSE, was the Guest of Honour. The event was also attended by Principal DIET Leh, Mirza Medhi, along with HODs, faculty members, and participating teachers from across the district.
In her address, Deldan Angmo expressed gratitude to the CBSE expert team for their valuable contributions and encouraged all participating teachers to apply the knowledge and skills gained in their classrooms.
“The true impact of such training is seen when the knowledge acquired transforms the hearts and minds of children across Ladakh,” she said.
The workshop concluded with a renewed sense of purpose among educators, committed to fostering innovation, inclusion, and excellence in teaching across the region.
