CEC, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, paid a visit to the District Hospital Kargil on July 7 to review healthcare services, infrastructure, and address immediate concerns raised by patients and staff.

Accompanied by the Medical Superintendent, Resident Medical Officer (RMO), and the medical team, Dr. Akhoon conducted a comprehensive inspection of all wards. He interacted with patients to assess their conditions and gather feedback on the quality of care being provided.

Special attention was given to a patient admitted on the night of Ashura Muharram, with the CEC personally reviewing the treatment being administered and ensuring appropriate care.

Demonstrating a commitment to responsive governance, Dr. Akhoon resolved several issues on the spot. He also inspected the under-construction hospital block adjacent to the main facility and instructed concerned departments to expedite its completion to expand healthcare capacity.

Emphasizing punctuality and dedication among healthcare professionals, the CEC directed staff to maintain high standards in healthcare delivery. He also called for immediate improvements in key areas and issued strict instructions to implement effective measures to tackle the rodent menace within the hospital premises.
