Asoka Mission’s annual medical camps in Leh & Nubra set for Sept 14–21 30 AIIMS specialists to join the medical camp

Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, held a meeting with former Member of Parliament and President of Asoka Mission, Thupstan Chhewang, along with the General Secretary, Tsering Motup, on August 28.
The discussion focused on the upcoming annual charitable medical camps organised by Asoka Mission in collaboration with specialist doctors from AIIMS, New Delhi.
The delegation informed the CEC that this year’s camps will be conducted from September 14 to 21, 2025—covering Leh from September 14–18 and Nubra from September 19–20. A team of nearly 30 doctors representing major medical departments will participate in the initiative.
They also expressed gratitude to the CEC for his continued support of the medical camps and conveyed special thanks for his recommendation of the late Venerable Lama Lobzang, the long-serving President of Asoka Mission, for the Padma Shri Award, which was conferred posthumously in recognition of his lifelong service to humanity.
While appreciating the sustained efforts of Asoka Mission in strengthening healthcare access in Ladakh, the CEC assured the delegation of his full support for the successful conduct of this year’s medical camps.
