CEC Leh felicitates Rinchen Youdol for winning gold at Asian Para Taekwondo championships

Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, felicitated Rinchen Youdol for her historic achievement of winning a Gold Medal in the Para Poomsae Individual Female Senior P34 Category at the 2025 Junior, Cadet & Para Asian Taekwondo Championships held in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.
The championship witnessed participation from athletes representing 12 countries, making Rinchen’s victory a proud milestone for Ladakh.
During the felicitation ceremony, CEC Gyalson congratulated Rinchen for scripting history as the first athlete from Ladakh to win an international gold medal in Para Taekwondo. He praised her determination, courage, and perseverance, describing her as a “symbol of hope and strength for every young dreamer from the mountains of Ladakh.”
As a gesture of appreciation, the CEC presented financial assistance to Rinchen and assured her of the Council’s continued support in all her future sporting endeavours.
Expressing gratitude, Rinchen’s mother, Stanzin Angmo, accompanied by Councillor Padma Dorjey, thanked the CEC and LAHDC Leh for their encouragement and support, noting that such recognition would further inspire Rinchen to achieve even greater success.
CEC Gyalson reaffirmed that LAHDC Leh remains committed to supporting and nurturing talented athletes who bring glory to Ladakh and the nation.
