In order to curb the menace of illegal distillation and sale of illicit liquor, a special squad of Police Station, Leh headed by Inspector, Tsewang Dorjey, SHO Leh raided the rented room of few Nepali nationals at Phayang Gonpa complex near Moti Market Leh on February 9.  A total of 39 bottles of rum and 14 bottles of beer were recovered.

A case FIR No.12/2018 has been registered under Excise Act in Police Station, Leh. 

Three persons have been booked and further investigation is going on.
