SAVE organises pre-Losar celebration 2020 in Leh

A pre-Losar celebration was organised by the Student Association for Village Education (SAVE) Changthang on December 23 at Shenam community hall. 
 
R.K Mathur, Lieutenant Governor was the chief guest. He appreciated the people of Ladakh for the common spirit of willingness to give back to the society what they have received. He said that the endeavours of organisations like SAVE which thrives to work towards education and other skill development of youngsters of far-flung areas are laudable.
 
He also suggested the fact of grabbing the opportunity under the new Union Territory by overcoming the challenges for the economic and overall growth of the land.
 
Appreciating the activities of SAVE, Gyal P Wangyal, CEC, Hill Council, Leh said that their endeavour in the field of sports would facilitate students to participate in national-level events representing UT Ladakh. Wangyal assured all possible assistance from the Hill Council in the sectors of education and sports.
 
Konchok Stanzin, EC Education requested R.K Mathur about the need for redesigning the educational and medical institution by making them solar energy-efficient, a comprehensive Pashmina Project and Smart Border Management. He also apprised about the efforts being made to strengthen Government Schools in the Changthang region.
 
PT Kunzang, President LBA also spoke about the valuable services of SAVE and appreciated their contribution towards society.
 
Students remembered Late Dorjey Motup, Former CEC, Hill Council, Leh and Late Jigmet Gyatso for their valuable contribution towards SAVE. Tsering Gurmet, Sculptor, Ambassador of SAVE was also felicitated.
