SAMAARAMBH Foundation hands over ambulance to medical centre, Hanle
SAMAARAMBH Foundation, under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of NBCC (India) Limited, on December 16 handed over a Basic Life Support ambulance to the Medical Centre, Hanle, UT Ladakh, with the objective of strengthening emergency healthcare services in the remote Changthang region.
The handover ceremony was attended by Tsewang Gyalson, Chief Planning Officer; Dr Dolma Chuskit, Chief Medical Officer; the Block Medical Officer (BMO); former Councillor Ishey Spalzang; Ferdinand Soreng, Deputy General Manager (HRM), NBCC (India) Limited; senior officials of NBCC; and Mayank Khantwal, Founder of SAMAARAMBH Foundation.
The dignitaries appreciated the initiative, stating that the ambulance would significantly improve access to timely medical assistance and emergency referral services for the people of Hanle and adjoining areas.
The Health Department, UT Ladakh, expressed gratitude to NBCC (India) Limited and SAMAARAMBH Foundation for their support in strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the far-flung regions of Ladakh.
