As part of the ongoing campaign to enforce the ban on single-use plastics, Naib Tehsildar Hanle, Kunzes Dolma, conducted a special enforcement drive across the market area on July 1 to ensure strict compliance with environmental regulations.

During the inspection, commercial establishments were checked for the use, sale and storage of banned single-use plastic items. Around 30 kg of banned single-use plastic and expired items were seized from defaulters, and fines were imposed in accordance with the prescribed rules.

Naib Tehsildar Kunzes Dolma appealed to shopkeepers, residents and visitors to refrain from using banned single-use plastic items, adopt eco-friendly alternatives and avoid littering to help keep the surroundings clean.

She further informed that such inspection and enforcement drives will continue on a regular basis, and strict action will be taken against violators to ensure effective implementation of the ban.
