Liktsey school showcases talent, culture, and creativity on Parents Day

Government High School Liktsey celebrated its Annual Parents Day on December 4, 2025, with great enthusiasm, highlighting the achievements, talents, and cultural heritage of its students.

His Eminence Drukpa Thuksey Rinpoche graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, providing inspiration and blessings to the program. Zakir, Joint Director of School Education, attended as the Guest of Honour. District Planning Officer Phuntsog Dorjay and Padma Dechen joined as Special Guests, while former Councillor Thinles Norboo was also present.

Students showcased a variety of impressive performances, including cultural dances, melodious songs, and a traditional tools and crafts exhibition. A key highlight of the day was a multi-cuisine food stall, entirely prepared and managed by the students, reflecting their creativity, learning, and confidence.

The event saw active participation from Nambardars of the Lower Rong region, teachers from various government schools, parents, villagers, and children, all coming together to celebrate the progress and efforts of the school community.

The Annual Parents Day at GHS Liktsey reaffirmed the school’s commitment to quality and inclusive education, community engagement, and the preservation of cultural heritage.
