LG Ladakh visits Drass valley, pays tribute at war memorial

Rich tribute was paid to the martyrs of 1999-Kargil War by Radha Krishna Mathur, Lieutenant Governor Ladakh during his visit to the Kargil War Memorial on December 30. 

A ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented to the Lieutenant Governor on his first visit to Drass.

Agha Sayed Abbas Razvi, Acting CEC, Hill Council, Kargil; Dr. Vinod Kumar, SSP Kargil, and other officers received R.K Mathur at Drass.

Various delegations of Councillors, Block Development Chairpersons, Sarpanches, Panches, nambardars, religious and political representatives, social groups and other organizations of the valley met R.K Mathur. Various issues related to health, education, communication, tourism, irrigation, roads, water and many more were highlighted.

S.S. Khandare, IGP Ladakh; Baseer-ul-Haq Choudhary, Deputy Commissioner Kargil and OSDs to LG Ladakh accompanied R.K Mathur during the tour.
