Gyal P Wangyal visits villages of Nyoma block

Nomadic Residential School, Puga celebrated parent’s day with great enthusiasm and spirit on September 11.  

Gyal P Wangyal, CEC, Leh, chief guest appreciated the Nomadic Residential School for its overall performance. Encouraging high enrollment in government schools, he assured full support from Hill Council in providing quality education.

Gyal asserted that with Ladakh declaring UT there will be no dearth of funds but we should be able to spend the money purposefully.

He said that rural education is one of the top priorities of Hill Council Leh and they are committed to improving it by providing all kind of required facilities. Also, he urged parents to educate their child, especially daughters to ensure secured and respectful future.

Konchok Stanzin, EC Education assured to provide infrastructure facility in this far-flung area and to run smart classes at the earliest possible.

He informed that Hill Council, Leh has adopted a new transfer policy to address the teacher transfer related issues and assured effective transfer system from this November.

Gurmet Dorjay, Councilor, Korzok constituency informed that Puga Residential School was first started by clubbing 8 government schools in the region with 50 students. Today, the enrollment has reached to 95 students.

He stressed on the need for quality education and infrastructure facilities.

Kunzang Dorjay, Principal expressed gratitude to Hill Council for the up-gradation of Middle School to High School recently.

He further demanded expansion of the dormitory, infrastructure, laboratory and classroom considering the new batch of a 9th class to be started in November. Also, he requested for additional teaching staff and two more Ayas for the hostel.

Later, a review meeting on various developmental projects was convened by Gyal P Wangyal in Nyoma.

The meeting aims to ensure timely completion and speed up of ongoing projects in Nyoma sub-division before the winter sets in.
 
Gyal P Wangyal directed the implementing agencies to complete their target with no delay to facilitate the people with the benefit of projects like roads, building, and water facility at the right time.

In Tsaga village, a copy of memorandum was submitted by the villagers demanding to post Physical education teacher, protection of crops from Wild Ass by providing community-based fencing, issue of obstruction created on their routine movement by ITBP, filling up of Pharmacy post at Rongo which was vacant for 4 years, additional school teacher at Loma, etc.

Gyal P Wangyal and Konchok Stanzin assured people to fulfill their genuine demands on priority basis.
