Government School Stok upgraded to ‘Ladakh Model School’
In a major step toward strengthening local education, Government School Stok was officially upgraded to Ladakh Model School Stok on December 4. The transformation marks an important milestone aimed at raising academic standards through improved infrastructure and modern learning facilities for students in the region.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Secretary, School Education, Bhanu Prabha (IAS) and Director, School Education, Tashi Dolma (JKAS), who jointly led the initiative. Both officials expressed a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of government education, highlighting the administration’s dedication to providing equitable access to high-quality learning environments.

Their active involvement reflected the close collaboration between the Education Department and the local community—an effort expected to drive meaningful reforms benefiting students, teachers, and families.
Speaking at the event, officials stressed the vital role of community engagement in improving educational outcomes. They encouraged parents and local leaders to remain actively involved as the school adopts the Model School framework, which will include enhanced technology access, teacher training, co-curricular development, and a more student-centered approach to learning.
