Director General of Police, Union Territory of Ladakh, Mukesh Singh, IPS, paid a courtesy call on the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, at Lok Niwas, Leh, on January 16.

During the meeting, the DGP briefed the Lieutenant Governor on the prevailing security scenario, law and order situation, and key priorities of the Ladakh Police. He reaffirmed the police force’s commitment to maintaining peace, ensuring public safety, and strengthening community-oriented policing across the Union Territory.

The Lieutenant Governor emphasised the importance of close coordination among all concerned agencies to maintain peace, stability, and a secure environment for both residents and visitors to Ladakh. He appreciated the efforts of the police department and underscored the need for professionalism, responsiveness, and people-friendly policing in the region.
