Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Leh, Tsewang Gyalson, chaired a review meeting on December 3 at the VC Room, DC Office Leh, to assess the implementation of the Vibrant Village Programme (VVP-I).

The meeting reviewed the physical and financial progress of projects sanctioned under VVP-I, convergence with other schemes, and the timely uploading of geo-tagged photographs on the Digital VVP-I portal. The agenda also included clearing pending queries, reviewing the status of new project proposals, and discussing related issues.

CPO Leh directed all departments to update the portal with work status and site photographs, stressing the importance of geo-tagged documentation for verification. He further instructed officers to prepare estimates for signage and selfie points at tourist locations in Vibrant Village areas and to submit DPRs for other required village-level interventions.

He noted that while some project proposals have been received, departments must prioritise essential works and submit DPRs for projects that require urgent approval by the Ministry. He also urged departments to review the status of approved projects within their jurisdiction and ensure timely execution and completion of pending works.

Officers raised several queries, which were addressed by the CPO. He advised them to certify completed works, ensure proper utilisation of funds, and submit bills strictly as per work execution.

Additionally, the CPO directed all departments to conduct awareness activities and service delivery camps for villagers and share photographic documentation of these activities.

The meeting was attended by the Superintending Engineers of PWD Leh and I&FC Leh, Chief Medical Officer Leh, District Sheep Husbandry Officer Leh, DEPO Leh, DYSSO Leh, Executive Engineer SSD Nyoma, Assistant Director Tourism, Assistant Director RDD, and other officers.
