Police arrest three burglars, recovered worth ₹ 2.5 Lakh goods

Three youths arrested in a theft case and goods worth ₹ 2.5 Lakh was recovered by Leh Police on December 27 in Choglamsar.

The case was registered under FIR number 101/2017 under section 457 and 380 RPC at Police Station Leh. Regarding the case, a press conference was organized by police at Police Post Choglamsar on December 28.

Suraj Singh, Dy SP said, “On December 21, we got a complaint letter by Yangchan Dolma resident of Choglamsar, wherein she had stated that some property like LED, laptop, smartphones and some household goods were stolen. We registered the complaint and immediately launched series of effort to trace the theft.  After an investigation, we nabbed three suspects and recovered the stolen goods worth ₹2.5 Lakh”.

He further said, “Police team led by Tsewang Dorjey, SHO Leh and SI Rigzin Gurmet, Incharge Police Post Choglamsar under the supervision of Sargun Shukla SSP Leh played a key role to nab the culprits.”

Rigzin Gurmet, SI,  Incharge Police Post Choglamsar said, “We have traced all the three accused and stolen goods from Choglamsar where they stay on rent. I request all people to keep a close eye on people be it local and nonlocal who they keep on rent and fill up tenant verification form. If someone suspects anything they should complain.”

The recovered items includes one LED TV 32,  one LED TV 42,  one LED TV 24, two laptops, one digital Camera, two Apple ipod, one Apple iPhone, two LPG cylinders, one Chinese blanket, Borosil glass one set, One set of Juice Glass, one Nike Shoe, One Saffola Mustard oil  (5ltrs).
