CEC discusses telecommunication problems in Leh

A meeting for telecom service and issues of Leh district was convened by Gyal P. Wangyal, CEC, LAHDC, Leh with Sunil Purohit, Deputy Director General (DDG) TEAM CELL (J&K) Department of Telecommunication on September 19 at Council Secretariat.

Gyal P Wangyal apprised in detail about problems being faced by the people due to poor telecommunication facilities especially in rural and far-flung villages of Ladakh. 

He said that the communication problem of cutoff villages is badly affected due to non-functional of DSPTs since months.

He requested for addressing this issue at the earliest.  

Gyal P Wangyal and Tsering Sandup, Deputy Chairman requested Deputy Director General to issue strict instruction to the mobile service providers to take members of Hill Council into confidence while installing mobile towers so that maximum area could be covered under the mobile network in future. 
 
Konchok Stanzin, EC Education, Kailash Meena, Director ITS and engineer of BSNL and Jio were present.
